This personal illustration project initiated during COVID-19 lockdown has been inspired to support and share the stories of small businesses and brands in South Africa as well as the heart behind them.
This is not a paid promotional marketing space but a project to increase brand awareness and inspire local pride and inspiration for and from local businesses. Please consider this when writing your submission.
How it works:
Fill in the submission form below and I will illustrate a 'portrait' of your product or service that will be posted along with your story on the @portraits.of.local.za Instagram page. You will need an Instagram handle to be tagged in your post.
A guide to your submission:
1. Must be local to South Africa
2. A product or service that can be illustrated (restaurant and shop spaces will also be accepted).
3. Digital Service based businesses can provide an actual portrait of themselves or a part of their workspace, desk or home that is special for them or influences their process or service.
4. Please do not submit a business bio but a heartfelt story around how your business began, what you do, what inspires you to create and a message that instills local pride.
Submissions will be accepted and filtered at my discretion and you will be notified when your 'portrait' has been posted.
